Most of us are aware of the term "conventional wisdom". This seems to refer to what is generally accepted as being true or what one would expect in any given set of circumstances. It seems to me that this just ensures that we all try and think alike and do not stray outside the norms of society or behavior. If this is true then why do we get so many new things and new ways of looking at situations and opportunities? Think of many things in your home or office. If people had not thought outside of "conventional wisdom" then would we have so many of the great things and ideas that we have today? I would suggest that we all look to what we can create that is not within this constraining idea. What can you come up with for you or your business?
