Trust. One of the most significant characteristics of any business, person, or community is the trust that they can establish. Developing this trust is another way of building your integrity. There are some simple steps you can take to create this trust. Note that I did say create - this is all up to you and the manner in which you conduct yourself and your business. Trust is the development of a set of habits that ensures you act consistently, positively, and with confidence. Another way of saying this is that you say what you are going to do, you do it, you say please and thank. As a result you will have taken the initial steps to create this trust. Actions do speak louder than words and following the Golden Rule can only help you as you build your integrity. As spring takes hold act with integrity, build trust, and see the impact you have on those around you increase significantly.
"The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say "I." And that's not because they have trained themselves not to say "I." They don't think "I." They think "we"; they think "team." They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don't sidestep it, but "we" gets the credit…. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done."
- Peter Drucker
