Opportunity. This past week I attended a conference on Succession Planning in Small Business. One of the frightening statistics was that less than 30% of small business owners give any thought to succession planning, and for that matter, proper planning at all. As an individual with a business, or even as a person working for someone else, proper planning is critical to meeting goals and to using your abilities to the greatest extent. It is important for everyone to create a set of goals so that they work towards the vision they have for their life. I want to suggest that this week you take some time to set out these goals, make a plan, and create processes that allow you to have fun while you move forward. Take advantage of all of your opportunities - they are gifts for you!
