For granted. All of us take many things for granted and just expect that they will happen automatically. This approach, expecting that our lives will unfold in a similar fashion and anticipating good health, a job, friends, a business, a certain economy and a great future provides a level of comfort and consistency in our lives. I want to suggest, however, that we need disruption and surprises if we are to take a step back and assess what other options might be available to all of us. These are the times when each person can make a real difference, not just to themselves but to the world around them. So as you approach this week take the time to assess your expectations and identify what you need to do to make even just one thing in your life and those around you a little better. You will find that making these adjustments is not as hard as you once may have thought. So just go for it!
