Christmas week. This will be a great week for our family as Karen’s daughter, Becky, will be joining us to celebrate Christmas. It would be even better if Matt and Vanessa were joining us from Ottawa. It will be a time for last minute shopping, finishing off the decorating, and planning for the food and other celebrations. For those of you who are grandparents it is a wonderful time to see this new generation experience the fun time of the holidays and allows us the luxury of recalling our own past experiences. Christmas is a time to make memories – and to recall those of the past and to remember the people who made it that way for us. I hope you all create fabulous memories over this next week or so. From our ever growing family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2010.
"Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul. I remember a place, a town, a house like a lot of other houses. A yard like a lot of other yards, on a street like a lot of other streets. And the thing is, after all these years, I still look back...with wonder."
