Christmas Cheer. It is that time of year when people reconnect and often catch up on a year’s worth of all of the news. Why is it that the spirit of Christmas causes this to happen? It seems to be the one time when, although we are busy as ever, if not busier, that time is made to create these opportunities? It is wonderful that this happens but I recall friends who would have their holiday party well into January. They did this on the premise that people get “partied out” and yet in January, it is like you have fallen off a cliff; nothing really happens. Having gone through a difficult year it will really be important to focus on the key relationships in our lives not only over the holidays but all of the way through 2010. The real lesson in 2009 is that family and friends are really the most important thing in our lives. Enjoy and take advantage of your holiday cheer.
