Oliver. I am sure most of you know the play about Oliver Twist. It was put on this past week in Bermuda by the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and was directed by two people from London. (Rehearsals had started in early August) Our grandson, Rian, was the in the lead role of Oliver. At age 11 his performances were, to us, almost unbelievable. The reviews were fantastic and it seems as though he is born to be an actor. As the grandparents it was with immense pride that we watched his performance and those of the other children. If this group of kids is any example then we are all in good hands. Children do many things but leaving us amazed left us with a great feeling!
" Good actors are good because of the things they can tell us without talking. When they are talking, they are the servants of the dramatist. It is what they can show the audience when they are not talking that reveals the fine actor. "
