Memory Bumps. I am sure
you have all noticed how certain things trigger memories. I was
walking through a store in Hamilton the other day and I was listening
to my Ipod. That was harmless enough but then a Bee Gee's song came
on - "Stayin' Alive" and I found myself wanting to stride
very quickly along the corridor. I certainly laughed at myself.
I could just see John Travolta going along that street in the movie.
Interesting how our memories of events get triggered. I call these
"memory bumps" and all of us experience them on a regular
basis. What things trigger your best memories? Make sure you allow
yourself to have these "bumps" from time to time - they
give you pictures of your life!
" Growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers,
the next day you're gone. But the memories of childhood stay with
you for the long haul. I remember a place, a town, a house like
a lot of other houses. A yard like a lot of other yards, on a street
like a lot of other streets. And the thing is, after all these years,
I still look back...with wonder."

Wonder Years'
