A week or so ago we were
fortunate enough to attend a presentation by Les Brown, the well-known
motivational speaker. He is creating a legacy by assisting others
in learning how to be effective presenters. It was a great evening
of talks focused on encouraging everyone in attendance to recognize
that the secrets to reaching their goals is within each of them.
I would say that one of the main messages was how our society takes
us as children and trains us to react to fear and to back away from
anything uncomfortable. Think about your own experiences, how many
times have you backed away when the fear of failure was greater
in you than the interpretation of success? Take a moment this week
and do something that in the past you have been afraid to do. You
